The contract details have been revealed for new Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Malik Harrison, after he signed a two-year deal last week in free agency from the Baltimore Ravens.

According to a report by Aaron Wilson of KRPC-TV in Houston, the two-year, $10 million deal with Harrison has $4.08 million in guarantees, all in a signing bonus for the 2025 season. Harrison will earn $1.17 million in salary in 2025 and $4.75 million in 2026.

That will make Harrison’s salary cap hit for the 2025 season $3.21 million and $6.790 million in the 2026 season. If the Steelers want to release him or trade him after the 2025 season, he would leave behind a $2.04 million dead salary cap hit.

The deal represents a major raise for Harrison, who played with Baltimore on a one-year, $2.7425 million contract in 2024, his first season as an unrestricted free agent.

The Steelers have now committed $1.79 million to running back Kenneth Gainwell, $4.5 million over two years to wide receiver Ben Skowronek, $8 million over two years to quarterback Mason Rudolph, $10 million to cornerback Darius Slay, $10 million over two years to Harrison and $150 million over five years to wide receiver DK Metcalf since the start of the free agency period. The details for the contract for new cornerback Brandin Echols and the re-signing of center Ryan McCollum and wide receiver Scotty Miller have not been reported.

The Steelers have also added a placeholder of $5.35 million on their salary cap rolls for running back Jaylen Warren, after tendering him a contract as a restricted free agent.

Until the full details of the multi-year contracts handed out last week are revealed, the full salary cap picture for the team cannot be calculated. Counting Gainwell, Harrison, Slay and Warren’s placeholder, the team currently has approximately $53 million in offseason salary cap space.
