Cowboys CB Rips George Pickens after Win: ‘Pittsburgh Need a Receiver’
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis had some choice words for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens after Dallas’ 20-17 win on Sunday night.
“Pittsburgh need a receiver. George Pickens weak,” Lewis said as he went into the locker room, via Bobby Belt of 105.3 The FAN.
George Pickens was held to just three receptions on seven targets for 26 yards. Running back Najee Harris led the Steelers in receiving with two receptions for only 35 yards.

After the Cowboys secured victory, Lewis ran up to Pickens and got into his face. Pickens then grabbed Lewis by his facemask and threw him to the ground. While Lewis was taunting, Pickens’ act was viewed as cheap by many.
George Pickens should be suspended a game for this.
It’s absolutely unnecessary. pic.twitter.com/eog1VTqGaP

Lewis was chippy throughout the night, as he got into it with wide receiver Calvin Austin III during a scuffle in the fourth quarter.

Van Jefferson played 47 of 58 snaps, while Austin played 44 snaps. Pickens played only 34 snaps. Head coach Mike Tomlin said that they were attempting to get more out of George Pickens by limiting his snap count, and that there was no other story to his reduced reps.
Tomlin compared it to resting and rotating defensive lineman like Cam Heyward.
Tomlin said there’s no underlying story, but that’s definitely an interesting comparison. Heyward played 55 snaps, and he’s 35 years old.
