Current and Past Steelers Players React to Justin Fields Trade
The Pittsburgh Steelers are acquiring Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and multiple sources confirmed to Steelers Now. This comes on the heels of the Steelers officially signing veteran quarterback Russell Wilson and trading former first-round pick quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday.
General manager Omar Khan has dramatically altered the quarterback room since agreeing to terms with Wilson last Sunday. It’s a complete reset for a franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game in seven years. These are not traditional Steelers moves. As expected, the reaction from current and former players, Steelers Nation, and analysts is oozing with optimism.
