Two former members of then Pittsburgh Steelers reacted to the NFLPA survey grade given to the team on Wednesday and former Steelers assistant coach Brian Flores won the opportunity to have his case against the NFL heard in open court.
? ESPN: A judge in Brian Flores’ case rules that some of his claims of discrimination against the NFL and its teams can continue in court in front of a jury. Others remain in arbitration.
“We look forward to pursuing all these claims to trial in their various forms,” Flores attorneys Wigdor Law said in a statement.
? Former Steelers guard Ramon Foster disagrees with the NFLPA player survey that blasted the Steelers facility. “What the actual hell?! lol. What weren’t we getting that others were…,” Foster tweeted. Former Steelers inside linebacker Vince Williams gave a shoutout to strength and conditioning coach Garrett Giemont as the Steelers were given a A+ grade in the strength coaches department.
? The same can’t be said for the Ravens as the NFLPA poll voted Baltimore’s strength staff as by far the NFL’s worst. Strength and conditioning coach Steve Saunders was fired following the 2022 season. Saunders was often criticized by former players and fans as the team dealt with numerous injuries over his seven-year tenure. John Harbaugh also suspended Saunders for a month in 2020 after he reportedly was not wearing a tracker or required mask required by the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols.
? NFL Network: Former Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter was booked last night at 11:33 p.m. on misdemeanor charges of Reckless Driving and Racing On Highway/Streets, per police. Carter, a top prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft, paid $4,000 bond and was released from Athens-Clark County Jail at 11:49 p.m.
? The NFLPA poll didn’t paint a positive outlook on the Steelers but things could be a lot worse. The Washington Commanders ranked 32nd (last) in the team guide. Besides the strength coaches who received great feedback and grades as one of the best groups in the league, the rest of the club’s operations and facilities were rated by player respondents at the bottom of every single category. The locker room does not have confidence that club owner Dan Snyder is willing to invest to upgrade the facilities, as player responses rank him 31st in this category. Snyder’s net worth is $4.9 billion.
? Footbahlin podcast: Fifteen time World Champion archer Levi Morgan joined Ben Roethlisberger on his podcast to talk about his most recent victory, as well as sharing some of his best hunting stories.
? Ben Roethlisberger celebrates his 41st birthday on Thursday.
? Kenny Pickett posted a bunch of photos on Instagram of his workouts with Steelers pass catchers in South Florida.
