Steelers QB Kordell Stewart

🏈 Former Steelers nose tackle Chris Hoke thinks the Steelers’ offensive woes go beyond just Matt Canada. “You go back and watch that film, everybody can say what they want. Guys are open. Kenny’s not seeing them. Kenny missed throws. Third-and-10 he has Pat Freiermuth open for a first down and he sails the ball. Is that on Matt Canada?” Hoke said on 93.7 The Fan.

🏈 Kordell Stewart thinks the Steelers lack leadership. “There’s a sense of entitlement with this Steelers team. There’s not a true leader,” Stewart said on 93.7 The Fan.

🏈 Despite starting only four games, Kenny Pickett is tied for the second-most interceptions in the league with eight. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan leads the NFL in interceptions with nine.

🏈 Pat Freiermuth has three games with 75+ receiving yards this season, which is the second-most in the league among tight ends. Freiermuth is behind just Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Mark Andrews of the Baltimore Ravens, who both have four games of 75+ receiving yards.

🏈 The Steelers are partnering with the Pirates and Penguins to help local families in need with a Thanksgiving meal distribution event on November 22. The drive-up distribution will take place at the Mazeroski Way Cul-de-Sac at PNC Park. The event will provide turkeys and dry food boxes, as well as baked goods. Capacity is limited to the first 300 registrants.

🏈 Steelers outside linebacker Alex Highsmith sat down with Emily Giangreco of WTAE to discuss losing a friend from gun violence in 2020. Now, through the Alex Highsmith Family Foundation, he’s hoping to raise awareness and combat gun violence.

🏈 Mel Kiper of ESPN has Alabama quarterback Bryce Young as his fifth-best prospect for the 2023 NFL Draft on his big board. Kiper has Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. as his No. 1 overall prospect, followed by Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud and Kentucky quarterback Will Levis.

🏈 Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is having an exceptional season. According to Pro Football Focus, in 254 coverage snaps, Porter has allowed zero touchdowns, 10 forced incompletions and a 59.1 passer rating allowed. Porter is projected to be a top 10 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

🏈 Eagles defensive tackle Javon Hargrave had another standout performance in Philadelphia’s 29-17 win over the Houston Texans on Thursday night. Hargrave has recorded five sacks, 12 pressures and a 24.5% win percentage in his last two games.

🏈 Dave Dameshek ponders what if Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier played in the 1976 AFC Championship Game against the Oakland Raiders. Bleier had an injured toe on the foot that had been damaged in combat during the Vietnam War, while Harris had painful rib injuries. Without the Steelers’ pair of 1,000-yard running backs, Pittsburgh fell to the Raiders, 24-7.

🏈 Former Raiders Hall of Fame punter Ray Guy passed away at the age of 72 on Thursday. Ray was the first punter to be selected in the first round of an NFL draft, along with being the first inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
