Daily Links: Steelers Host Fashion Show, Brady at Kraft Wedding
The Pittsburgh Steelers walked the red carpet and Tom Brady took in some nuptials on the teams’ off night Friday before Sunday’s showdown at Acrisure Stadium.
The Steelers held their annual Rock Steelers Style fashion show at Stage AE on Saturday night to benefit UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, Cancer Bridges and the Chuck Noll Foundation. Art II and Greta Rooney and Mike and Kiya Tomlin co-chaired the event. Zach Gentry and Minkah Fitzpatrick were the team captains for the event.
“It’s a lot more meaningful when it benefits such good causes,” Gentry said. “People are there for a good reason, we are there for a good reason. When it’s important stuff like that, it’s easy to do.”
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady took his day off on Saturday night to attend the wedding of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Brady and Kraft have remained close despite the quarterback’s departure from the Patriots for Tampa Bay a few years ago.
Former New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said he’s been a “little disappointed” with the play of Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett so far in an appearance on 93.7 The Fan on Friday. Tannenbaum compared Pickett to former Jets quarterback Chad Pennington.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is set to return against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN. Tagovailoa has been out since a scary concussion on Thursday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 29.
