The Pittsburgh Steelers have spent most of the 2023 offseason without getting a lot of hype from the national media, but that might changing after their strong start to the preseason, with several personalities professing their belief in the Steelers and quarterback Kenny Pickett on Monday.

🏈 Adam Schein of SiriusXM is all-in on Kenny Pickett and the Steelers this year.

“Do not sleep on Kenny Pickett and the Steelers this season. I hate when people overact to the preseason, but I think the Steelers are going to explode on the scene. I won’t be surprised if they make a real run in the postseason,” Schein said.

🏈 Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football also believes that the Steelers will return to the playoffs this year.

“Last year was going to be the year that Mike Tomlin was (going) to have a losing season. It was over. This is the year, T.J. Watt’s hurt, their record is terrible. They just get to .500. They had a winning season, they were 9-8 with ridiculous circumstances. Trust me, put the Steelers in the playoffs this year, it’s going to be really scary.”

🏈 Pat McAfee is blown away by what he’s been seeing from Kenny Pickett in the preseason.

“Shoutout to Kenny Pickett, seemingly becoming a dude. I don’t want to say overnight, but the Matt Canada offense is appearing to let him do a lot more stuff. And the (25-yard touchdown) connection to (Pat) Freiermuth was great,” McAfee said.

🏈 NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger thinks Jaylen Warren might be the Steelers best running back.

“Jaylen Warren might be (the Steelers best RB). I saw him last year and he jumped off the page at me. He’s the modern day running back. Powerful, built compact and looks like he can do anything you want a running back to do,” Baldinger said on 93.7 The Fan.

🏈 Pro Football Hall of Fame: Former Steelers cornerback Mel Blount is one of 35 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame to attend an Historically Black College and University. Ahead of Virginia Union meeting Morehouse in Canton on Sept. 4, Blount discussed the impact HBCUs have had on his life.

🏈 Pittsburgh Business Times: Steelers All-Pro defensive tackle Cam Heyward partnered up with Bruster’s ice cream for a new treat.

🎂 Happy Birthday to former Steelers defensive tackles Carlos and Khalil Davis. The twin brothers were born on August 22, 1996 in Blue Springs, Missouri.

🎥 Former Steelers free safety Ryan Clark and Dan Orlovsky did a phenomenal breakdown of Kenny Pickett’s 25-yard touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth against the Bills.
