? Russell Wilson vs. Justin Fields was tabbed as one of the eight key training camp battles to watch this summer by PFF.

“Wilson will turn 36 during the season and has looked a long way off the player who earned a 90.5 PFF overall grade in 2020,” Gordon McGuinness of PFF wrote. “Fields, the 11th-overall pick in 2021, couldn’t get his feet under him in Chicago, with the team opting to reset by selecting Caleb Williams first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

“Still, Fields has improved in each of his NFL seasons and is coming off a career-high 74.6 PFF overall grade in 2023. Ideally, Fields will stick as the Steelers’ quarterback of the present and future, but either of these options would be an upgrade over last season.”

? Steelers running back Najee Harris has forced 107 missed tackles since 2022, according to Pro Football Focus. Only Josh Jacobs (118), Travis Etienne Jr. (121) and Derrick Henry (126) have forced more missed tackles in that span.

Diontae Johnson and Jarvis Landry in Florida. Fields got slammed by many on social media, including Le’Veon Bell, for throwing balls late. The Route God said that wasn’t the case. He said Fields’ QB trainer was there and they were working progressions and everything was on the money.
