? Former Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger thinks Justin Fields should remain as the Steelers starting quarterback. He believes inserting Russell Wilson as the starter would destroy Fields’ confidence.

“I thought Justin played a good game, he went on some spurts where he had a couple of bad throws in a row. But all in all I wouldn’t absolutely not even think of taking him out of the game right now,” Roethlisberger said. “I think he’s doing enough. You saw with his legs especially, making things happen.”

? Dan Orlovsky thinks T.J. Watt should be in MVP talks. Lawrence Taylor in 1986 was the last defensive player to win league MVP. The last Steeler to win league MVP was Terry Bradshaw in 1978.

“T.J. Watt has been the best player in football this season. Legit MVP candidate,” Orlovsky said on Get Up.

? Colin Cowherd of FS1 believes the Pittsburgh Steelers are a mile away from a Super Bowl.

“The Steelers won 32-13, they beat the Raiders. And I don’t mean to laugh, but something feels very inevitable going forward for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’re going to end up with a winning record, nine or ten wins, and they’re going to convince themselves Justin Fields is the future of this offense. Justin Fields can move, but sitting in the pocket throwing darts, that’s how you win in January, in February. Caleb can do that. That’s not what I’ve seen from Justin. It is what it is. Never bad, but now never great. That’s what the Steelers are. They’re a mile from the Super Bowl,” Cowherd said on The Herd.

? Former Chicago Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long thinks the Steelers should stick with Justin Fields as their starter.

“If you’re a Steelers fan, stick with this Justin Fields situation,” Long said on the Pushing the Pile podcast. “He’s going to get better. He has gotten better as a player since the time he came into the league. I think he does give you the best chance to win in your locker room.”

? NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger broke down Jaylen Warren’s crushing block on Maxx Crosby during Sunday’s game.

? T.J. Watt had a 99.0 run defense grade against the Raiders on Sunday, according to Pro Football Focus. Watt forced four run stuffs and two fumbles while generating the best single-game run stop EPA of all edge defenders over the past three seasons (-13.0), according to NFL Pro Insights.
