🏈 Ben Roethlisberger took a shot at the Pittsburgh Steelers offense by saying the Kansas City Chiefs offense looked like the Steelers during the Super Bowl.
“Man, this feels like a Steelers offense in terms of production. They couldn’t get a first down. They couldn’t sustain drives. They didn’t even get past midfield until halfway through the third or into the third,” Roethlisberger said on his Footbahlin podcast.
🏈 Ben Roethlisberger also weighed in on the Steelers quarterback situation. He thinks there’s pros and cons to bot Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
“I think both guys have pros and cons, different things. I think whatever one they decide, if it’s one, it might not be one of these guys. Who knows, if they decide to go with one, I don’t think it’s the wrong choice,” Roethlisberger said. “All of them should be better next year if it’s the same offensive system. You get a year better, you’re going to be better, so each of them they’re probably going to play better.”
🏈 The New York Jets reportedly told Aaron Rodgers that he could no longer appear on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ if he wanted to return next season.
🏈 The Steelers are the favorite to land Aaron Rodgers, according to DK Sportsbook.
🏈 Albert Breer believes Russell Wilson will not be coming back to the Steelers in 2025.
“This week some pro-Wilson narratives surfaced, and my sense is that probably wouldn’t be very well received by the Steelers as they mull their future at the position,” Breer wrote. “As for Fields, I feel like they’d like to keep working with him, but I don’t see them just handing him the starting job for 2025, if he’s back, my guess is it’d be with Fields needing to compete to earn playing time. Meanwhile, you’ve got T.J. Watt turning 31, and Minkah Fitzpatrick turning 29, and that makes you wonder if it’s time for the team to take a bigger swing on a guy like Stafford.”
