🏈 Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden thinks the Philadelphia Eagles are going to take it to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

“The offensive line, this Mekhi Becton, playing right guard, he’s 350 pounds. He almost killed an L.A. Ram on the second level. I really have Philadelphia getting the boot and sticking it up Pittsburgh’s ass in this game. They are physical on the line,” Gruden said on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast.

🏈 Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant told Kay Adams of Up & Adams that Mike Tomlin is the NFL coach he’d most like to play for.

“I try to listen to his interviews and postgame pressers… Seems like a great dude to play for,” Durant said.

🏈 When George Pickens is not on the field, the Steelers offense is 31st in success rate, according to Matt Williamson of Steelers.com. They are 17th when he’s on the field.

🏈 Since Week 6, Jalen Hurts has produced 23 touchdowns against just two giveaways.

🏈 Najee Harris has forced the most missed tackles (59) this season, according to Pro Football Focus.

🏈 The Eagles have the No. 1 rushing offense, averaging 190.5 yards per game. The Steelers have been stout against the run this year, however. The defense is surrendering 91.5 yards per game, which is fourth-best in the NFL.

🏈 The Steelers have forced 3+ takeaways in four straight games. It’s the longest 3+ takeaway streak in the league, according to Daniel Valente of The Score. No other team has an active streak of more than one game with 3+ takeaways.

🏈 Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who is a UNC grad and was a candidate for the head coach position, is stoked about Bill Belichick taking the job at his alma mater. Smith turned down the offer from North Carolina to interview for the position.

“It’s awesome, great for football, he’s a teacher of the game, I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to go learn the game of football from him,” Smith said.

🏈 Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was at the Petersen Events Center on Thursday night for Pitt women volleyball’s 3-2 win over Oregon. The Panthers advanced to the Elite Eight for the fifth consecutive year.
