🏈 Jeremy Fowler of ESPN provided an update on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers.

“They’ve already got a contract offer standing out to Rodgers in place. So they talked about fit. He met with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, Mike Tomlin, owner, Art Rooney, GM Omar Khan. In fact, I was told the Steelers wanted to make this meeting happen so much they skipped Michigan’s pro day yesterday, which if you know the Steelers, that’s a big deal,” Fowler said on the Rich Eisen Show. “The whole contingent goes to every big pro day. They stood in town to meet with him. And look, I checked with a team source that said they’re aggressively pursuing this. He’s number one on their radar.”

🏈 The Cleveland Browns are still going after Russell Wilson, according to Jeremy Fowler.

“From what I’m hearing, the Cleveland Browns still have interest in Russell Wilson. They’re still pursuing that angle, but they have Carson Wentz as a contingency plan,” Fowler said on Get Up on Friday. “There’s some mutual interest there. If Wilson falls through, Kirk Cousins would be a prime option for the Browns, I’m told, but he’s simply not available right now.”

Fowler added that Wilson is not off the table for the Steelers: “Russell Wilson not totally off the list, but they would like to try to make this happen (with Rodgers).”

🏈 NFL Insider Josina Anderson Mike Tomlin really pushed for the DK Metcalf trade.

“Tomlin was very adamant about getting DK Metcalf from what I hear, clearly he’s still at the table over his dice on Rodgers, now he has to bring it home,” Anderson wrote on X.

🏈 Josina Anderson also dropped. cryptic tweet that some change is coming to “the North.” She didn’t elaborate if it was the AFC or NFC North.

🏈 Former Steelers offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. wants to prove himself with the Tennessee Titans.

Obviously, I want to exceed expectations, but it’s not only about proving the team right, it’s about proving myself right,” Moore said. “I feel like my expectations will always be higher than anyone else’s are for me. I feel like by meeting my expectations, I’ll exceed the team’s expectations. So, not only do I want to prove them right, I want to prove them damn right, where they’re thinking, ‘We got our guy. He didn’t just do what we needed him to do. He did that and more.’ That is the consensus I want in the organization.”

🏈 Former NFL offensive lineman Damien Woody believes Najee Harris’ critical comments were an indirect shot at Mike Tomlin.

“I think it’s fair. I think it’s an indirect shot at Mike Tomlin, to be honest with you,” Woody said on ESPN’s First Take. “When you don’t have a QB, you don’t have an identity offensively. So, for a young guy coming in, you’re thinking, ‘Okay, who can I go to as a resource to see how this thing is done.’. As a running back, you want to be able to look on your side of the ball… Who do I look to? They didn’t have anybody. I think indirectly, he was talking about Mike Tomlin.”
