🏈 Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph recently got in some offseason training.

🏈 Steelers.com: After an incredibly successful inaugural event last year, SteelHERS Social is back this year to bring the Steelers female fanbase together in a unique, one-of-a-kind fashion.

The event, which will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 5-9 p.m. at Acrisure Stadium, will allow the ladies to share their passion for the black and gold, while mingling and creating new friendships with other female fans.

SteelHERS Social, which is presented by UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, will be highlighted by a mix of activities, including an X’s & O’s session with current players and coaches which is new this year.

🏈 One thing is for sure, Ohio State running back and Quinshon Judkins is not afraid of contact. Judkins is a running back that could be on the Steelers radar in the draft. His physical running style certainly would be an ideal fit in Arthur Smith’s offense.

🏈 Steelers fans in Europe can get their DK Metcalf jerseys at NFL Shop Europe.

🏈 The NFL Physicians Society awarded the Arthur C. Rettig Award for Academic Excellence to UPMC and Pitt Neurosurgery’s David Okonkwo, MD, PhD, team neurosurgeon for the Steelers, for his groundbreaking research presented at the NFLPS Scientific meeting. Findings from Dr. Okonkwo’s research will help advance how concussions are managed both in the NFL and other settings.

According to the NFLPA, Dr. Okonkwo’s “Fencing Response Following Concussion and Recovery Time, Concussion Severity, Outcomes in Professional American Football Players,” provides essential information that aids the team physician in the management of concussions and represents a great example of the power of the extensive and detailed NFL Injury Surveillance System database.

🏈 Mason Rudolph received a ringing endorsement from Ben Roethlisberger.

“Mason [Rudolph] can get the guys the ball,” Roethlisberger said on his Footbahlin podcast. “Mason can throw the ball. That’s never been a question. He can make decisions and get the ball out of his hand. He’s not afraid to take shots down the field, either.

“That’s one of the things I think that, as you’ve watched Mason when he was here and then in Tennessee, he’s not one of these guys that gets nervous and just wants to get the ball out his hands right away. He’ll sit in there, and he’ll throw it down the field. I think that’s what you’ve got to do when you have George Pickens and DK Metcalf. Those are deep down the field type guys.”
