? NFL.com released its Steelers-Jets preview for Sunday night’s game. The panel of 10 analyst were split 5-5 on their picks.

? Bill Belichick weighed in on the Steelers QB situation.

“You make a change when you’re sure that player is going to upgrade your team. If you’re not sure, you probably stay with where you’re at,”  Belichick said on The Coach podcast.

“Russell’s a veteran quarterback and that guy knows how to play,” Belichick added. “But he just hasn’t had the timing and the live snaps because he certainly didn’t get them in preseason. So it’s a tough task to (go) in there at this point in the season with really no reps.”

? Former NFL general manager Thomas Dimitroff said the Steelers are making a mistake starting Russell Wilson.

? Kyle Brandt said Mike Tomlin’s QB decision is a bold move.

“No player in NFL history with a 4-2 record or better to start at quarterback has been benched ever. It has never ever happened,” Brandt said on Good Morning Football. There’s four or five coaches in the league who have the chutzpah to do this. Mike Tomlin is one of them. He doesn’t care about your stats that we could pull up. He says, ‘I’m watching the team, I think we could be better.’ Just make sure you’re not worse if that blows up and Russ throws a couple picks in the first half and Fields is sitting there playing the best football of his career. That’s why Mike Tomlin’s taking a risk. Go for it.”

? ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler believes the Steelers are next to trade for a wide receiver.

“Pittsburgh appears to be the next team up,” Fowler said. “It has been scouring the earth for receiver help, making strong pushes for Brandon Aiyuk and Adams in the past. Williams could make some sense as a deep-threat option, though the Jets and Steelers play this week, which complicates matters. Either way, Pittsburgh will be looking.”

? Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated said there are people in Steelers building who think Russell Wilson will limit the offense.

“There are a ton of people in that place right now that feel like Russell Wilson would limit them on offense in a way that Justin Fields does not. Which I think is a big part of the reason why so many people there just wish that Tomlin would stick with Fields,” Breer said on the Rich Eisen Show.

Breer also said the QB decision will come down to the 11th hour.

“This is a decision that has not been made yet. I know some people there that feel like that Tomlin is gonna take this thing to the end of the week and really take a hard look at it,” Breer said.

? Center Ryan McCollum will be the ninth different player to start for the Steelers on the offensive line this season. The nine different players to start on the OL would be tied for the most by Pittsburgh through Week 7 since at least 1991.
