🏈 Former New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison doesn’t believe Aaron Rodgers going to the Steelers is a good situation.
“I look at Aaron Rodgers and everything that’s happened to him the last few years, and he just does not look like any resemblance of the same quarterback,” Harrison said on Football Night in America. “At times, he’s gonna give you some great moments in spot duty, but overall, I don’t trust him. I don’t trust that he’s gonna stay healthy. I don’t trust that it’s gonna be a good situation.”
🏈 Las Vegas Raiders All-Pro defensive end Maxx Crosby predicts that Aaron Rodgers will retire.
“I think he retires. I think the fact that he’s not with Davante and he’s not very familiar with Pittsburgh, I don’t know. I think he retires,” Crosby said on The Rush with Maxx Crosby podcast. “He’s about 42 now. I would like that. I feel like that would make sense, him going to the Steelers. I think they need a quarterback; they need a guy who’s a vet, a proven dude. But I don’t know. I don’t see it. I just don’t see that as a thing. I can’t see him in a Pittsburgh uniform. My brain can’t put that together.”
🏈 Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman thinks Aaron Rodgers should make a decision sooner rather than later.
“If I was Aaron Rodgers, I wouldn’t want to get into the same predicament as I got into with the Jets,” Edelman said on the Dudes On Dudes podcast. “You get there kind of late, you don’t really practice that much, and all of a sudden, the season comes out and we’re not looking like we need to be looking because we’re not on the same page. Wherever he’s gonna sign, I would sign as soon as possible so you can learn the players around the team that you’re gonna be playing with. If you watch last year, on the Jets, I think Week 8 on, Aaron Rodgers played pretty damn good football. That’s because he started to learn his players, I feel.”
🏈 The Steelers wished the Pittsburgh Pirates good luck on their 2025 season.
🏈 Former Steelers defensive back and Hall of Fame NFL head coach Tony Dungy questions what the Steelers are doing with Aaron Rodgers.
“That guy’s got to be on board. Aaron Rodgers should be saying, if he wants to do this, ‘Yeah, I can take you to a Super Bowl.’ Let’s go. I love these veteran guys. Let’s get there and get rolling. Let me get there and get started,’” Dungy said on Football Night in America. “Not, ‘Hey, I’ll get back to you in a little while and we’ll see what happens’. No, I don’t want that from the guy who I think is gonna be the hero for me.”
🏈 Former Green Bay Packers safety and Hall of Famer LeRoy Butler believes Aaron Rodgers makes the Pittsburgh Steelers a Super Bowl contender.
“If he comes in, I think you have a legitimate chance to get to the Super Bowl,” Butler said on the Go Long Podcast. “If Aaron Rodgers goes to Pittsburgh, you can expect them to be in the Super Bowl. They’ll be my Super Bowl pick if he goes there.”
