We have another primetime battle in the Burgh this weekend! The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football. These two teams have been in the news feeds all week long: Mike Tomlin’s making a quarterback switch despite sitting on a 4-2 record, meanwhile the visiting team just made a head coaching change and traded for star wide receiver Davante Adams. This matchup will feature a faceoff between two of the oldest quarterbacks in the league with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson combining for over 100,000 passing yards and 800 passing touchdowns so far in their historic careers. Needless to say, there will be plenty of eyes on this one.

SN analyst Derrick Bell breaks down everything you need to know about this respective battle including specific tendencies, key matchups to watch for and how the new arrivals could change how these teams look moving forward. Most of the discussion has centered around the quarterback position this week but the run game will be the focus with the Jets defense struggling in that regard so far this season, ranking 27th in rushing success rate and coming off a performance in which they allowed the Buffalo Bills to churn out nearly 150 yards on them with a stable of backup runners. On the defensive side of the ball, they’ll need a big impact from Alex Highsmith who is returning from injury as they look to cause chaos with their pass rush to prevent New York from chucking the ball over the yard with their talented receiver tandem.
