Diontae Johnson isn’t throwing anybody under the bus after the Steelers’ 29-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

No, seriously. He said those words postgame at FirstEnergy Stadium. We have the video right here:

See? He said that.

But yeah, the full quote is pretty interesting.

“I couldn’t really say,” Johnson said when asked what could be the cause of the Steelers’ offensive struggles. “It could be anything when it comes to them.”

Wait, who is ‘them’?

“When I say ‘them,’ [I mean] the coaches,” Johnson clarified. “I’m not throwing them under the bus, [but] we can only do what they tell us to do, you know, make plays. That’s about it.”

For a Steelers offense that’s struggled to score points and create splash plays, these words from Johnson certainly resonate.

Matt Canada’s offense needs to find a spark –– and fast.

The Steelers host the Jets Sunday, Oct. 2, at Acrisure Stadium for their next contest, and at 1-2, they badly need a win in that one.
