Does Maurice Pouncey Deserve to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Published

on

Now that Maurkice Pouncey has decided to retire from the NFL, his football story is about reflection.

Pouncey played 11 NFL seasons, all of which were with the Steelers, was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times and was a five-time Associated Press All-Pro, including first-team honors in 2011, 2012 and 2014. He was also a member of the NFL’s 2010’s All-Decade Team.

While the 31-year-old enter, who the Steelers drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, certainly put together an impressive football résumé, there are only 7 centers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He may have been one of the best of his era, but does Maurkice Pouncey deserve to be enshrined in “Football Heaven” forever in Canton, Ohio?
