Does Steelers WR Chase Claypool’s Behavior Concern You?
There’s no questioning Chase Claypool’s talent. There’s no questioning his ability to produce in the NFL. He put that on display during his remarkable, and at times historic, rookie season.
What some people are questioning is if he’s headed down a dangerous path, a path Steelers fans are all too familiar with. And anyone with that concern already is likely even more concerned now after news broke of his involvement in a fight at a California bar.
To be fair to Claypool, there are some reports that indicate he was only breaking up a fight, not instigating one or freely participating. However, TMZ released video that seems to also show Claypool kicking someone, which obviously casts the 22-year-old receiver who Pittsburgh drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft in a poor light.
Tenured NFL insider John Clayton believes Claypool’s actions could result in being disciplined by the NFL and maybe even being suspended a couple games.
Are you concerned about Claypool’s off-the-field comments or behavior? It’s worth noting Claypool is expected to have a big role in the Steelers offense in 2021 and build off his great rookie season that saw him catch 62 balls for 873 yards and score touchdowns.
