The Dolphins are expected to start Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback as he returns from a concussion, and he and Teddy Bridgewater, who has been battling an elbow injury and was also in the concussion protocol, are both not listed on the Dolphins’ injury report this week after practicing fully on Wednesday. Third-stringer Skylar Thompson (thumb) was limited.

Tagovailoa said Wednesday that he doesn’t remember everything about the hit that knocked him out against the Cincinnati Bengals three weeks ago, but that he’s ready to go to face the Steelers on Sunday.

“There was a point where I was unconscious so I couldn’t really tell what was going on,” Tagovailoa said Wednesday. “I remember the entire night up until the point I got tackled. After I got tackled, I don’t remember much from there. Getting carted off, I don’t remember that. But I do remember things that were going on when I was in the ambulance and when I arrived at the hospital.”

Star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (shoulder) was limited and head coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that he is expected to play.

The Dolphins placed linebacker Trey Flowers and cornerback Nik Needham on the injured reserve list on Wednesday. Needham has started five of Miami’s first six games at cornerback, while Flowers is a key reserve at linebacker.

Among the other regulars that were out for the Dolphins on Wednesday were tackle Terron Armstead (toe), cornerback Keion Crossen (knee), defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah (back) and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins (hand).

Linebacker Jerome Baker (hip), cornerback Kader Kohou (oblique), running back Raheem Mostert (knee), defensive lineman Zach Sieler (hand), tight end Durham Smythe (hamstring) and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (shoulder) were all limited.
