Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick received a 93 overall rating in Madden NFL 25, which ranks third-highest among safeties. Only Antoine Winfield Jr. (93) of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jesse Bates (97 overall) of the Atlanta Falcons had higher ratings.

In the game, Fitzpatrick has a 91 speed rating, a 64 strength, 91 agility, 90 jump, 94 injury prevention, and a 93 stamina.

Fitzpatrick had a down year in 2023, but he is still one of the best safeties in the game. The turnovers where just not there last season. Pro Football Network tabbed Fitzpatrick as the 57-best player in the NFL, 22 slots higher than the NFL Top 100 list, who had him tabbed as the 79th-best player in the NFL.

The evaluators at EA Sports still view Fitzpatrick as an elite safety, as his rating remained the same as last year and he dropped just one spot. Fitzpatrick had a 93 rating in the game last year, behind only Derwin James.

The Steelers plan on not moving Fitzpatrick around as much this season. In 2022, Fitzpatrick was the NFL’s co-leader in interceptions with six. Last year, he had no picks. Fitzpatrick hopes to get back to his ball-hawking ways in 2024.

“Just let me play ball,” Fitzpatrick said at OTAs. “That’s it. Minkah ball.”

Fitzpatrick thinks the additions of DeShon Elliott, Donte Jackson, Patrick Queen and Cam Sutton will help him reach an All-Pro level again.

“As many great players as you could get in the field is going to help Minkah play Minkah ball,” Fitzpatrick said.

Fitzpatrick, 27, is a three-time first-team All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler. In his five seasons with the Steelers, he’s recorded 363 tackles, 243 of them solos, 17 interceptions, five tackles for loss, 41 passes defended, three forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. Three of Fitzpatrick’s 17 interceptions were returned for touchdowns. He also returned one of his four fumble recoveries for a score.
