Early Line: Steelers Huge Underdogs against Buffalo Bills

The Pittsburgh Steelers have opened as huge underdogs for their Wild Card Round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills this coming Sunday in Orchard Park, New York, according to the early betting line posted by ESPN Bet.

The Steelers opened as 7.5-point underdogs when the lines were first posted on Sunday evening, and things have gotten bleaker than that for the Black and Gold since the betting has started. The Steelers are now considered 10-point underdogs to the Bills.

But while that will be the biggest line for the Steelers this season — they were 4.5-point underdogs in Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens — it could honestly be worse when you look at the history.

The Steelers closed as 14-point underdogs for the last trip to Buffalo in Week 5 of the 2022 season, and ended up losing that game 38-3.

The last time they made it to the postseason and played a road Wild Card game, the Steelers were 12.5-point underdogs to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021. They lost that game by 21.

This season, the Steelers are 6-4 against the spread as underdogs, and won all six of those games outright. Three of them came on the road.
