Created by Travis Kelce, George Kittle and Greg Olsen, over 45 tight ends from around the league will train and talk shot over the next three days.
“I’m always big on building a brotherhood,” Kittle told Forbes’ Jeff Fedotin. “A lot of these guys either don’t know each other or never communicated with each other. It bothers me.”
Kittle believes tight ends are still undervalued in today’s pass-happy NFL, and thinks an exchange of trade secrets and improved camaraderie can lift up the position league-wide.
“When one tight end succeeds, everybody succeeds — like the tight ends were making under $10 million a year,” Kittle said. “To me that doesn’t make any sense. I feel like the tight end position hasn’t been appreciated.”
After a meet-and-greet at TopGolf on Wednesday, the tight ends will dive into on field work and film study on Thursday. The summit will culminate on Friday with a youth camp in conjunction the Boys & Girls Club.
