There’s no question the Steelers have a need at the center position entering the 2021 NFL Draft, but most of the mock drafts out there have connected the team to other positions with the No. 24 overall pick in the first round.

That’s because there aren’t a ton of first-round centers in the draft, but ESPN analyst and former New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum sees the Steelers pulling the trigger on one.

In his mock draft released on Tuesday, Tannenbaum has the Steelers selecting Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey in the first round.

Humphrey checks in a 6-foot-4 and 302 pounds and had an impressive performance at Oklahoma’s pro day. He was a three-year starter for the Sooner and was a third-team All-American last fall.

The Steelers got to see Humphrey perform at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, and along with Alabama center Landon Dickerson, he is considered to be among the best interior linemen in this class, but most outlets project him to be a second-round pick.
