Steelers Quincy Wilson

Former Steelers cornerback Quincy Wilson is signing with the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL. In 2022, he played for Pittsburgh, but the team released him from the practice squad after some time, even when he managed to help the team in a win over the Buccaneers.

Wilson was signed in September of 2022 after Pittsburgh’s loss to the New England Patriots. He even managed to get some game action after being elevated for Pittsburgh’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and playing well enough in that outing to help the Steelers win.

Wilson, 27, had previous stints in the NFL with Colts, Dolphins, Jets, and Giants. A second-round pick out of Florida, Wilson has been in the NFL since 2017. He stayed in Indianapolis through the 2019 season, but was traded to the New York Jets following the 2019 season. During the 2020 season, Wilson played three games for the Jets, but was waived and landed with the New York Giants. He played the 2021 season there as well, before signing a futures contract with the Miami Dolphins following the 2021 season.

Throughout his career, Wilson has registered two interceptions, 62 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 3 tackles for loss, and 8 pass deflections. He has started 11 games in the NFL, including 10 in his first two years with the Colts. Wilson last started a game in 2020 with the Jets, and was not active for any games in 2021 while on the Giants practice squad.
