A Pittsburgh-area Steelers fan named Jen Mascaro was allegedly attacked by a Raiders fan during Sunday’s game in Las Vegas. She told Colin Dunlap of KDKA Radio on Monday that she was watching the game when she was “completely blinded” by a punch from a man in a No. 78 Raiders jersey. She went to hospital and got stitches, while the alleged attacker went to jail.

Mascaro told Dunlap that the alleged attacker was harassing Steelers fans throughout the game. In the second half, he started to throw things and that’s when the skirmish started. Mascaro assumed that the man was drunk.

“After halftime, he started throwing stuff at people. It was mainly Steelers fans. Throwing stuff, yelling stuff,” Mascaro said. “And at one point, there was a younger guy next to us, he was probably early 20s. Super nice. It was friendly banter between the fans. And everybody was having a good time. And then this man four rows behind us threw a beer at the younger kid. And the kid turned around and was like, ‘What the hell was that for?’ He just told the guy to stop acting like an ass or whatever.

“A couple people in the section asked security to have him removed. That was the third time we asked security to have him removed because we can tell something was going to happen. As he’s walking back to his seat, he stopped right next to me right, near where the younger kid was, and starts saying stuff to me. And you can see me telling him to get away. And you watch him open the beer can, and with the beer can in his hand, punches me in the face with the can. I did go after him but I couldn’t see very well. I had blood in my eye. But I did try to go after him.”

Below is a video of the incident, which was shared on X.
