Film Room: Steelers Offense Goes Off for 37 Points vs. Jets

The 37-point explosion that the Steelers offense put up on Sunday night was a sight for sore eyes and their most points in a game since November of 2021. Even after a slow start out of the gate with Russell Wilson shaking off the rust, the unit started clicking in the second quarter and beyond. Even if the New York Jets defense has been a bit underwhelming this season, that’s a group that is far from being devoid of talent on all three levels. So, how did Pittsburgh have their best offensive outing in quite some time?

SN analyst Derrick Bell breaks down the performance, highlighting specific player contributions and how offensive coordinator Arthur Smith was pressing all the right buttons. Could this be a building block for exciting things to come moving forward as the Steelers keep pushing for a playoff spot? Only time will tell but there are certainly plenty of elements from this showing that should breed some level of optimism. Now it’s about stacking those weeks in succession.
