There was plenty of drama this weekend surrounding Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens, after he deleted references to the team on his Instagram account and made a post that said “free me” following his two catch-game against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night. Pickens then later said the post had nothing to do with football and re-followed Steelers-related accounts.
That came on the heels of him expressing visible frustration on the sideline during the game on Thursday.
Pickens has gotten lots of flack for his response to the frustration of not being utilized more in the Steelers offense, but should the team be finding more ways to get him the football? Pickens has just three catches over his last two games.
Alan Saunders of Steelers Now joined Jenna Harner, Shelby Cassesse and Chris Carter on The Final Word on WPXI to break down Pickens’ emotional flare-up, the super-tough AFC North and Matt Canada moving to the sideline plus what if anything can be salvaged from the Pitt season and how the Penguins can smooth out their recent roller-coaster results.
