Final Word on WPXI: Are you excited for the Pittsburgh Steelers to start OTAs this week, or it just football in shorts?
The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to start the second phase of their offseason workout program, with Organized Team Activities, better known as OTAs, starting at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Tuesday.
The optional workouts involve a daily practice session, but one that is undertaken without pads or contact. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has called the workouts “football in shorts” to emphasize their lack of carryover to the on-field product this spring.
But this year’s OTAs will feature our first look at the Arthur Smith offense, new quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields and a new-look offensive line that could have three new starters when they step on the field on Tuesday.
