Has Justin Fields Done Enough to Keep Steelers Starting Job?
Final Word on WPXI: Do the Pittsburgh Steelers need to have a new deal in place with Cam Heyward before the start of training camp?
Justin Fields has not been a statistically dominant superstar through the first three weeks of the Pittsburgh Steelers season, but he’s done enough to get the Steelers to 3-0 to start the year.
Fields has turned the ball over just once in three games, and head coach Mike Tomlin said he’s largely done what the Steelers have asked him to do so far.
“He’s doing a good job doing what we’re asking him to do, playing and playing to win, and so that’s appreciated.”
But will that translate into Fields keeping the starting job when Russell Wilson returns? Tomlin has said he’s not answering that hypothetical.
