First and 10: Steelers Start Prep Week for Hall of Fame Game

For the first time in 2021, it’s game week for the Steelers, as they’ll begin Hall of Fame Game preparations in earnest on Monday for Thursday night’s preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys in Canton, Ohio. Steelers training camp practice No. 10 will take place at Heinz Field at 1:30 p.m. Nick Farabaugh will have coverage for Steelers Now.

One of the main storylines leading up to the team’s first preseason game will be how much the team’s veteran starters, including quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, will play.f

STEELERS HISTORY

🏈 2020 The Steelers placed running back Jaylen Samuels and wide receiver James Washington on the COVID-19 reserve list and made eight cuts to get down to the 80-man roster limited enacted ahead of 2020 training camp. Long snapper and linebacker Christian Kuntz was the only player that was cut on this day last year to remain with the team, spending most of 2020 on the practice squad.

🏈 2019 Wide receiver Antonio Brown was sued for nonpayment by a personal trainer he used while with the Steelers, one of a number of legal entanglements over the year for the former Steelers star.
