The Pittsburgh Steelers 2022 NFL schedule will be released on Thursday night, during a special broadcast on NFL Network. Except for the parts that have already been released and will continue to be released piecemeal throughout the week.
None of those games have invoked the Pittsburgh Steelers to this point, but there have been many, many leaked games through anonymous Twitter accounts.
There is no way to verify the veracity of those reports, but we can still figure some things out about the Steelers’ schedule based on other things we know. We know who the Steelers will play and where they will play them, including the league’s friendliest travel schedule.
They will be on the road in Week 1. Steelers defensive captain Cam Heyward said as much earlier this week, and that makes sense, as the Pittsburgh Pirates have a 1:35 p.m. home game on that Sunday. The only options for the Steelers to host would be to play on Sunday or Monday Night Football, and it does not look like that’s the case.
Are ever going to start the season at home @steelers

Some have suggested this game will be at the Cleveland Browns, which could make some sense. The Steelers have opened with the Browns in the past, but last year, just one Week 1 game featured divisional rivals.
Continuing to use the Pirates schedule as a guide, expect the Steelers to be at home on Sept. 18 in Week 2, because it would be very rare to start the season with three straight road games and the Pirates are at home again with a 1:35 p.m. start on Sunday, Sept. 25.
You can also count on the Steelers for plenty of prime time games. The Steelers played five prime time games in both 2021 and in 2020.
Week 18 will also likely be division games. The Steelers closed with Cleveland and Baltimore in 2021, Cleveland in 2020, Baltimore in 2019 and Cincinnati in 2018. Several leaks have this year’s finale taking the Steelers to Cincinnati to face the favorites to win the AFC North.
