Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. cleared waivers on Tuesday, meaning that any team is free to sign the veteran wideout.
Beckham was released by the Browns amid a falling out between he and a quarterback Baker Mayfield. Teams that claimed him on waivers would have had to absorb the remainder of his contract. Now, he will be free to sign with any team for any amount.
Beckham played in six games this season, hauling in just half of his 34 targets for 232 yards and no scores.
The star receiver had originally signed a five-year, $90 million contract in Cleveland, but never clicked on the field with Mayfield, with things coming to a head after last Sunday’s Steelers win over the Browns.
