Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Willington Previlon has signed with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League for the summer 2025 season.

Previlon, 27, spent training camp with the Steelers in 2024. He first joined the team in June after the Steelers claimed him off waivers from the Atlanta Falcons. Previlon played in all three preseason games for Pittsburgh in 2024, appearing in 60 total snaps of defense and recording four tackles.

The Steelers released Previlon at the end of training camp on Aug. 27 and he did not catch on with any other NFL team during the 2024 season.

Previlon has spent time with the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Falcons since signing with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers in 2020, but has never played in a regular season NFL game.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive lineman played in three preseason games with the Packers in 2021 and and three each with the Buccaneers in 2022 and 2023. In nine games, he has recorded seven tackles and two quarterback hurries. He split his time between three-technique and five-technique, according to Pro Football Focus.

Previlon was a three-year regular on the defensive line for Rutgers. His best season came as a redshirt senior in 2019, when he recorded 35 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one pass defended.

Previlon joins quarterback James Morgan and running back Daijun Edwards as former Steelers on the Alouettes roster for this summer.

The 2025 CFL season will start on June 5, with the 112th edition of the Grey Cup in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Nov. 16.
