The Houston Texans released former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Donte Moncrief on Tuesday with a non-football injury designation, according to the transaction wire.
Moncrief had signed with the Texans as a free agent this offseason on a one-year, $1.15 million deal. He played with the New England Patriots in 2020.
Moncrief was plagued by drops during his brief stint with the Steelers in 2019. He caught four passes for 18 yards, and posted a catch percentage of just 26.7%.
He was a third round selection of the Indianapolis Colts out of Ole Miss in 2014.
