From the Locker Room: WR James Washington on What’s Wrong with the Steelers’ Offense

PITTSBURGH — On Monday against Washington, for the third straight game, the Steelers rushed for less than 100 yards. For the second straight game, the team’s receivers had more than a half-dozen drops, some of them in crucial areas and situations. On Monday, the Steelers added a third mode of offensive failure: a sudden inability to convert in short-yardage situations.

All of that added up to a season-low offensive output in a 23-17 loss to Washington at Heinz Field.

Steelers wide receiver James Washington spoke with the media, including Alan Saunders of Steelers Now about those issues from the Pittsburgh locker room via Zoom after the game:
