From the Locker Room: WR James Washington on What’s Wrong with the Steelers’ Offense
PITTSBURGH — On Monday against Washington, for the third straight game, the Steelers rushed for less than 100 yards. For the second straight game, the team’s receivers had more than a half-dozen drops, some of them in crucial areas and situations. On Monday, the Steelers added a third mode of offensive failure: a sudden inability to convert in short-yardage situations.
All of that added up to a season-low offensive output in a 23-17 loss to Washington at Heinz Field.
