A GoFundMe page has been established for the young daughter of the fan who fell to his death at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.

Dalton Keane, a 27-year-old pipefitter from Monaca, Pa. in Beaver County fell 40 feet from an escalator as fans were exiting the stadium following the Steelers’ loss to the New York Jets. Keane leaves behind a two-year-old daughter, Isla, and his family established the fundraiser in her name.

“We are starting this fund to secure a sturdy future for his daughter, Isla, because that is truly the one thing he worked for everyday,” Keane’s brother, Cody Keane wrote. “We greatly appreciate any help for Isla’s future. All donations will be directly deposited into a managed account in Isla’s name.”

The fund had raised nearly $15,000 as of Thursday afternoon. The family also dealt with the unexpected death of Keane’s brother, Devin Keane at age 31 in December.

The details surrounding how and why Keane fell from the escalator remain unclear. Pittsburgh Police are investigating the incident. Keane’s family told our news partner WPXI on Monday they hope eyewitnesses come forward to aid those investigations and help provide the family answers.

Keane is the first fan to die in the the 21-year history of Acrisure Stadium. In 2016, a Baldwin man suffered a head injury in a fight with a Dallas Cowboys fan and later died at his home. The Steelers have said they will wait until the investigation is complete before announcing potential changes to the stadium or the exiting procedure.
