Defensive end Daniel Archibong, safety Karl Joseph, outside linebacker Delontae Scott and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon are all active as injury replacements for the Steelers against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Cornerback Joe Haden (mid-foot sprain), defensive end Isaiahh Loudermilk (groin) and outside linebacker T.J. Watt (knee/hip) are all inactive with injuries while safety Minkah Fitzpatrick remains on the COVID-19 reserve list.
Joseph is a COVID-19 replacement for Fitzpatrick on the 53-man roster, while Archibong and Scott were game day elevations from the practice squad. Witherspoon will be active for the second game this season.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was activated from the COVID-19 Reserve List on Saturday and will start, leaving Dwayne Haskins inactive as the third quarterback.
Running back Anthony McFarland Jr. and inside linebacker Buddy Johnson are the team’s other healthy scratches.
Guard Kevin Dotson was placed on injured reserve on Saturday.
J.C. Hassenauer or B.J. Finney is expected to start for Dotson. Taco Charlton is expected to start at left outside linebacker in place of Watt. James Pierre is expected to start for Haden. Tre Norwood is expected to start for Fitzpatrick.
