House Wins on Steelers Bets, with 95% of Money at One Book Losing with Broncos
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ upset win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday turned out to be a boon for some sportsbooks.
The Steelers were 2.5-point underdogs to the Broncos at home, and not only covered but won outright, with a 27-19 victory.
While the betting lines from sportsbooks are usually designed to produce even action on either side, that’s not always the case, and it turned out that way on Sunday.
According to Darren Rovell of The Action Network, 95% of the bets placed on the game at Caesar’s Sportsbook were on Denver. Additionally, 95% of the money was placed on the under total of 39.5
With the Steelers covering and the total going over, the house made a lot of money with the Steelers win on Sunday
Most lopsided money on a game at @CaesarsSports was Broncos (-2.5) vs Steelers.
95% of the money was on the Broncos.
Most lopsided money on a total at @CaesarsSports was Broncos-Steelers. Under 39.5 also had 95% of the money.
Public lost both. Steelers won, game hit over.

The Steelers improved to 2-3 against the spread, as they did in real life, with the victory. Their point total went over for the first time this season.
