Insider Says Aaron Rodgers Choosing Steelers a “Safe Bet”
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk believes Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers is still a "safe bet" as his decision awaits.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the market for a quarterback despite bringing back Mason Rudolph and being linked to multiple via mock drafts. Pittsburgh hosted Aaron Rodgers last week and, despite him leaving without a contract, Mike Florio believes that is his ultimate destination.
If you are looking for a safe sports bet, Florio is essentially saying put the money on Rodgers to the Steelers. Florio emphasizes that the feeling so much “if” but rather “when” (the million dollar question.)
While anything could happen, Rodgers and the Steelers make the most sense. Rodgers likely has enough in the tank for one more playoff run and the Steelers need a bridge–and the fanbase wants playoff victories.
Rodgers hasn’t won a playoff game since 2020 when he led the Green Bay Packers to an NFC Championship appearance. After that, his lone appearance was a loss in 2021 as the number-one seed in Green Bay. Since then, he has missed three straight postseasons.

Our analyst provided an in-depth review of Rodgers at this point in his career. Among the main points, Rodgers’ ability to move and buy time is simply not there like it was years ago. However, his arm ability? He’s still got the juice, as the kids say.
The Steelers look to get an answer on Rodgers sooner rather than later as they head into the 2025 NFL Draft. Until then, all options are open until the pen hits the paper for Mr. Rodgers.
