James Conner Announces Switch to Single Digit Jersey Number with Cardinals

Published

on

Not only will Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner be wearing a different jersey next season, he will also be rocking a new number.

Conner announced on Instagram Monday that he will be switching to number 6 with Arizona. He had worn No. 30 with the Steelers through the first four seasons of his career.

While Conner could be making the switch strictly for aesthetic purposes, Cardinals safety Chris Miller did already have claim to No. 30 in Arizona.

The NFL owners passed a proposal by the Kansas City Chiefs last month to expand single digits jersey numbers to all skill positions.

No Steelers player has announced a switch to a single digit jersey number thus far.ย
