Bettis, who appeared to be at a golf course in his post, excitedly informed his fans that he has now tested negative for the virus three times. “The Bus” continued and said that he was “thankful” for only experiencing mild symptoms, and encouraged others to get vaccinated and continue wearing masks throughout the 17-second clip.
On Aug. 2, Bettis revealed that he had tested positive in a two-part tweet.
Part 1: It is important for me to let you all know that I recently tested positive for COVID-19. I’m currently in isolation at home. Fortunately, I am blessed that my symptoms are very mild because I am vaccinated.

Fellow Steelers’ legend and newly minted Hall of Famer Troy Polamalu was equally as lucky after recently contracting COVID-19 as well. Despite initial doubts, Polamalu was able to attend the Hall of Fame Enrichment Ceremony and was able to deliver a passionate speech to his adoring fans.
