Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a torn ACL in his team’s Nov. 22 loss to Washington, but he will be fully healthy for training camp eight months later.

The Bengals did not place Burrow on the PUP or Non-Football Injury lists ahead of their training camp, which begins on Wednesday, July 28.

Burrow’s availability for the start of the 2021 season was a genuine concern for Cincinnati considering the severity of his knee injury and how late in the year he suffered it.

Selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of LSU, Burrow had thrown for 2,485 yards, 12 touchdowns and just five interceptions last season prior to the injury. He was third in the league with 242 completions at the time, connecting on 65.4% of his passes.

The Steelers and Bengals will meet for the first time this season on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.
