Steelers cornerback Joe Haden has been named the third-best at his position in the entire NFL by CBS Sports’ Patrick Walker.
Only New England’s Stephon Gilmore and Baltimore’s Marcus Peters we’re ranked higher, while Haden placed ahead of some of the league’s biggest names, including the Rams’ Jalen Ramsey and Arizona’s Patrick Peterson.

Entering his eleventh season out of the University of Florida, Haden showed no signs of slowing down in 2019. He started all 16 games last season, snagging five interceptions with 17 passes defended.
The 31-year-old’s stellar play last year helped the Steelers field the league’s third-best pass defense. Pittsburgh’s 20 interceptions was the second-most in the NFL.
Haden joined the Steelers in 2017 after being cut by the rival Cleveland Browns after seven seasons. Four seasons in, Haden is already one of the most successful free agent acquisitions in franchise history.
Still, as good as Haden has been, the Steelers will have a decision to make in 2022 when he becomes a free agent at the age of 33.
