PITTSBURGH — Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster became the youngest player in NFL history to record 200 catches on Sunday with his first-quarter grab against the Indianapolis Colts.
Smith-Schuster, who will turn 23 on Nov. 22, entered the game with 199 career receptions, and set the mark on the first play of the game, making the catch on a 12-yard pass from Mason Rudolph.
He is the 11th player since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger to record 200 catches in their first 38 NFL games and has the most 100-yard receiving games in NFL history for players before their 23rd birthday. Earlier this season, Smith-Schuster became the youngest player to record 2,500 receiving yards.
