Kenny Pickett is living his boyhood dream. After growing up in New Jersey as a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Pickett got moved from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Eagles in March and got to join a room with Jalen Hurts. Reports surfaced earlier this week that Pickett is showing out early on in the OTAs period.

In a new interview with NBC Philadelphia 10, Pickett spoke on his new team, stating that the new marriage is going great and the talent around the team is pretty special.

“It’s been great,” Pickett said. “Obviously, Jalen’s an incredibly talented player. He’s played in a similar system, and we’re kinda all learning this new one together. So the communication back and forth in the quarterback room has been awesome with the quarterbacks coaching us and Kellen (Moore). I couldn’t ask for a better room, better staff to be working with. Obviously, the talent around this team is pretty special, so it’s a great group to be in.”

Take it from Kenny Pickett, but he stated he wanted a fresh start out of Pittsburgh earlier this offseason. He gets that, and it seems that Pickett is enjoying his new home so far. The Steelers moved Pickett at his request after they signed Russell Wilson and he took umbrage to the move.

The pick that Pittsburgh acquired in that deal turned into hyped-up rookie linebacker Payton Wilson. So far, Wilson’s athleticism is flashing throughout early practices, but it’s hard to say how a linebacker is doing so early on in the process without pads. Hurts will start for Philadelphia, but if he is injured, there is a chance that Pickett could suit up against the Steelers in Week 15 in the cross-state clash that will take place in Philadelphia.
