Larry Ogunjobi, Boswell Headline Steelers Inactives Vs. Eagles
PHILADELPHIA — The Steelers will be without a key number of players against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, including defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and kicker Chris Boswell as they face the undefeated team.
Ogunjobi will miss his first game of the season with a knee injury. He suffered the injury against the Buccaneers but played through it against the Dolphins. Chris Wormley is expected to start in his place.
Boswell suffered a groin injury in practice at some point during the week. Nick Sciba was signed to take over for Boswell and will start in his first career outing on Sunday.
Pittsburgh will be missing two cornerbacks as well with Josh Jackson out with a groin injury and Levi Wallace out with a shoulder injury. James Pierre will get increased snaps, and Pittsburgh will only have four cornerbacks. Ahkello Witherspoon will return for the first time in four games.
Mason Rudolph, Mark Robinson, and Kendrick Green are the Steelers’ other three inactive players. Rudolph and Green have yet to suit up this season for the Steelers as they fight for time. Robinson has only been active in one game.
Pittsburgh elevated Carlos Davis in relief of Larry Ogunjobi and Sciba from the practice squad to help with their gameplan against the Eagles. Still, it will be an uphill battle on all for the Steelers to pull off the upset.
