Le’Veon Bell’s exit from Pittsburgh was as tumultuous as they come. However, it was exclusively due to business reasons, with very little bad blood left behind in personal relationships. On the day after Ben Roethlisberger’s likely final home game at Heinz Field, the former star Steelers running back took to Twitter to offer his praise for his former teammate.

“I can honestly say, I wouldn’t have made it this far without you 7,” Bell said. “ I appreciate everything and will miss watching your greatness….one of the very few who’s done it all with ONE TEAM….what a career I’m proud to say that I ever had a chance to play with you HOF’er.”

Bell was prolific with the Steelers, including Roethlisberger, as part of the vaunted ‘Killer Bs’ when the Steelers were perhaps the most prolific offense in football. While Bell has not found the same level of success he had in Pittsburgh since leaving the Steel City, his appreciation for the moments and memories he had with Roethlisberger and the organization continue to be shown.
