PITTSBURGH — I’m at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on the South Side, as we await the Steelers first-round pick, scheduled to take place at No. 20 overall on Thursday night.

9:17  The New Orleans Saints are trading up to No. 11, the pick formerly held by the Washington Commanders. That feels like a strong potential for a quarterback.

8:45: The first team that seemed likely to take a quarterback has passed, as the Carolina Panthers have drafted NC State tackle Ickey Ekwonu.

8:25: Georgia linebacker Travon Walker is the No. 1 overall pick, going to the Jacksonville Jaguars. It nearly didn’t happen, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said Walker was in a car accident in Georgia on Thursday.
