The Pittsburgh Steelers are making some strange moves when it comes to preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft, and that included on Monday, the hosting of potential first-round Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart.

The Steelers don’t have an obvious spot for Stewart to play, with T.J Watt, Alex Highsmith and even Nick Herbig entrenched at their outside linebacker position.

But could the team be entertaining the idea of trading Watt? The superstar is coming off a down year by his standards, with 11.5 sacks his fewest in a full season since his rookie year in 2017. Watt is also entering the final season of contract and will likely want a deal somewhere in line with the $40 million annually the Cleveland Browns gave Myles Garrett earlier this offseason.

Alan Saunders joined Chris Carter on the Locked On Steelers Podcast to discuss the idea of trading for Watt, and trying to make sense of the Stewart visit. The guys also talked about the ongoing Aaron Rodgers saga and whether it has any impact on the team’s draft plans.
